The Flute Players of Roscommon are delighted to announce a day of trad music to be held in King House, Boyle, Co Roscommon on Sturday 13th May. The day will be part funded from proceeds of the Flute Players of Roscommon Vol 1 CD and will consist of beginner workshop on flute as well as masterclasses in fiddle and flute. The concert will highlight the wonderful flute/fiddle partnership so prominent in North Connaught and will feauture the duet playing of John and Catherine McEvoy and Eamonn Cotter and Tony Linnane. Also featuring at the concert will be the Flute pLayers of Roscommon themselves including John Wynne, Bernard Flaherty, John Carlos, Frank Jordan, Patsy Hanley, Patsy McNamara, Tommy Guihan and John P Carty. Also performing will be selection of Co Roscommon musicians both
young and not so young to
show how our traditional music and song is
passed on down through the generations.
