anybody any ideas of good mandolin albums? i'm into chris thile and simon mayor but i'm looking for some good itm mandolin albums or maybe english style mando music. any suggestions?
There are few in print, but try Paul Kelly's CD, 'A Mandolin Album' (Malgamu MALGCD 110) and most of Mick Moloney's albums feature mandolin at some point or another.
mandolin albums eh, the peaks of telluride by sam bush.how about tone poets produced by david (dawg) grisman. i cannot think of any mandolin player with such a diverse c.v. than the dawg the dawg styles range from bluegrass to jazz , italian music and jewish melodies . hope this is helpful.

Re: mandolin albums
Andy Irvine has a very long list of fantastic albums. He played mostly mandolin in the early years, now plays the whole mando family. Hope this helps.

begun by (Dr. <GG>) Aidan Crossey about a lovely CD by Michael Kerry.
I ordered it, and I enjoy it a lot. Beautifully understated, trad tunes and originals, beautifully played.
Enjoy,
