Hello all...
I'm after an Sindt Low F, though I'd consider any similar quality rate pending...
An overton would be swell as well
Just can't get the OBD tunes the way I want with cross fingers and half holes...Rory Campbell plays a nice overton on many of the tunes
incidentally, I have a Ralph Cook Low D that I'll be ebaying in a day or two if no interest around here
thanks

In the meantime, you could do worse than a Susato. Their low whistles have nothing like the earsplitting shrillness of their high D. And they're relatively cheap, tuneable, easy to play and don't need warming up like their aluminium cousins.
But an aluminium one looks and, played well, sounds much nicer. There are probably othjer advantages that I've overlooked, being primarily a chordophonist.
I have a brass low F Chieftain. I don't even know if they make them anymore, but it is SWEET. Smoothest through the registers and most balanced of all the Chieftains I own. I don't know where you can get one, I had to search Ebay for a month or two...

No, Phil does not make Brass Cheiftians anymore. It is a shame that he doesn't.

Maurice is now making Low Whistles. That is pretty cool. FWIW, the lead singer of Danu plays a Reviol Flute, when she plays Flute.

I got me an aluminium tuneable chieftain - lovely sound and at a reasonable price.

Just was poking around Lunasa's website and they have one for sale, just don't know anything about it.
