I wanted to pass this along to the list. It seems to be a can't miss event .

I wish I could go. Brian told me about this. I used to play with Andy (and the two Joe Burkes and Fiddle Johnny Cronin) down at the Tom O'Reilly's gig in the early 80's. Lots of great memories, some pretty funny. He apparently hated playing without a sound system when playing out.... I remember once picking him up in my VW Beetle (I think everyone had one back then) in the pouring rain to play a gig in Queens somewhere. They had no sound system... it was a bar gig... Andy just walked right out, into the rain, stood politely by the locked car, getting soaked.... the owner was screaming at me, but I wasn't going to play alone!.... I took Andy home. Still, he was a real gent about it, apologizing for leaving but he just could not play without sound, period.
And his wife, Pat, always showing up around 3:00AM with a taxi waiting outside to take him home from O'Reilly's. So much great music and what a great experience. She used to have to drag him out of there, always with a big smile.
God Bless you Andy, wherever you are! And Joe Banjo and Johnny Cronin too.... I hope you're all playing together somewhere!

Maybe Brian, Felix and a few others can arrange another concert on the NY NJ area?/ Don't know where you are from....but I'd sure like to see one. Wish I could see Joe Accordion this go round, been a long time. I just sent him a CD made from a tape of a concert we did long ago, i think 1981, it was just the two of us, we were opening for Tommy Peoples, Paddy Keenan and Johnny Moynihan as Last Night's Fun.
Joe is the last one left of that crew, hope he hangs around a good long time. I have something I have to do here on 4/1, otherwise I am almost tempted to go!

They should go on a tour. You won't find better music anywhere.
