I'm looking for a complete possible catalogation of all the tunes titled "Tommy Peoples'", most of them are reels.
I've found in "The fiddler's companion" website, but it's not enough and I've found many differences and contradictions comparing with "The Session". I look for researchers companions who can help me to understand all my confusing list.
I search the same for "Reavy's reel" by Ed Reavy.
Help, please
I don't know about a complete compilation of Tommy Peoples' tunes (you could write to him I suppose) but all the Ed Reavy tunes in ABC are to be found on http://www.reavy.us/Reavycom.abc.
Osvaldo - The problem is, most of these tunes acquire the name Tommy Peoples' just because they were recorded by someone who learned them from Tommy Peoples but didn't have a name for them (Altan being one of the major culprits). A few of them might be compositions of Tommy Peoples - all of which have names, I think, but musicians seem to be better at remembering names of musicians than names of tunes, so they end up being called Tommy Peoples' as well.
So, given the number of tunes Peoples has in his repertoire (I don't know how many, but I suspect their titles alone would fill several notepads)~, there could be any number of tunes called Tommy Peoples'.
As for tunes titled Reavy's, I think most or all of them are Ed Reavy's own compositions (see Trevor's link above).
What are the differences and contradictions you have found? In the notes of the tunes or in the titles, or both?

Re: All Tommy Peoples' reels
I've found at least 14 "Tommy Peoples' (reel)"s, by various sources. Should i list them all in this small space?
