Are you talking about the Gaita from Galicia? Try searching on Gaita Gallega. There's also the Gaita de Foles (I don't know what are the anatomical differences, if any, from the G. Gallega) from N.W. Portugal.
There are bagpipes of various types known by names such as gaita, gaida, gayda etc. found right across Southern Europe, from Portugal to Bulgaria.
I am no expert, but I have met a few players of the Gaita Gallega, and to me, much of the ornamentation sounds similar (if perhaps sparser and less complex) to that of the Great Highland Bagpipes.
On the Gaita Gallega it is common for the player to add their own interperation of the Ornaments which are very similar to Whistle only Rolls are used a lot less and probably called by a different name.
