we have this cassette put together by my father-in-law (rip) that contains a bunch of German carols and such...that is no doubt my favorite not only for the tunes but for the memories of Hans that come flooding back this time of year...he was a great man and I am saddened that my children did not get a chance to know him...
I also like Chieftans bells....and Bonnie Ridout Scottish Christmas
Karikas - en Delibab Egyuttes (Hungarian Folk Music)
Paul McGratten - the Frost is All Over (thanks Mark!)
Bad Religion - Generator
Possibly it's not what tout le monde would call Christmas Music, but I don't discern - it's what will be making this year's Christmas atmosphere for me.
Yuletide Long-players
Yuletide Long-players
Seasonal question:
What is your favourite X-mas album(s),all genres?
Mine:
Triakel - Vintervisor(Wintersongs)
Traditional Swedish Christmas tunes from mid/north Sweden
Maddy Prior & The Carnival Band - Carols and Capers
Lovely Youldtide World Music(?) album
Ella Fitzgerald wishes you a Swingin' Christmas

I hate Christmuzak and intend to remain obliviously drunk until it's all gone away.

I have been listening to the Andy Williams Christmas Album for as long as I can remember. God, could that man sing!

Re: Yuletide Long-players
If all the Christmas-ish songs ever recorded by The Watersons were on a single album, that would probably be my favorite. Christmuzak it ain't.
A very close second would be the aforementioned Maddy Prior and Carnival Band album.
