Is it me, or rather my PC, or has thesession.org gone really slow sometimes, particularly after having read a comment and trying to go back to the discussions? Is anyone else having this problem?
Yes it's the site. Too many people trying to access it - a victim of its own success. But you best ask Jeremy about it, if you need to know more. He's not alway ecstatic when the workings of this board are made into a discussion.
no it wouldn't be... platform-specific. It'd like 6 people trying to get in the door at the same time. Doesn't matter what brand of trews they're wearing.
Surely if 6 were trying to get in at the same time, the other 5 PC low lifes would be polite & hold the door open for an elegent lady e-Mac, like what I got, wouldn't they?
Anyway, it is now 5.58am & the site is working like a dream, smooth as silk.
you're not using an e-Mac are you? and there's me thinking you were some sort of e-God! Good job you know a lot more about ITM than ICT. Anyway, what are you doing, posting at 5.58 am???
To get back to the post... is it also to do with the size of the ever increasing database of comments as well as the bandwidth and number of users accessing at anyone time?
No Ptarmus, because they are low-lifes, PC is strangely irrelevant here, "expecting "Lowlifes would be polite...." is a bit optimistic, don't you think?

Re: Is it me?
I had this problem too. I thought it was just my old computer.

Re: Is it me?
I'm afraid this site is much slower these days and, sometimes, seems to fail altogether. I'm sure Jeremy is aware of the problems.

Re: Is it me?
Great, thanks Red_Crow and John J. I'll leave my PC alone and develop my patience skills.

Re: Is it me?
It's not you. I think it's because the level of traffic on the server has shot up through the roof.

Everything is quicker in the a.m. Michael as America is still asleep. Our college system is always better then than the afternoon.

Re: Is it me?
It's working fine for me at the moment, but usually at this time (midwest America) it is really slow. Slow in the evenings, too.

Re: Is it me?
Yes, I'm sure it's not the site, but the increase in traffic, as Danny pointed out.

Re: Is it me?
During the school day, I can't get on from my office (1300-2000 GMT) so I've stopped trying. I can always get on at night (Boston time.)
