My new question is about guitar. If somebody knows, how to play the reels on guitar? About that rytmic image, with accents on the every byth.
Sorry my English, as usuall))
Yes....you can play reels on guitar, I am talking about fingerstyle, I think flatpicking is easier. I seem to play way more jigs than reels, but I had a challenge from a guitar player, saying you can't do it fingerstyle. I have even recorded Tamlin. I play the tunes mainly in DADGAD even if ther are supposed to be in another key. Tamlin is relatively easy I think.
Depends on the reel. Pick (pardon pun!) an easy one and give it a go. Start slow.
Good evening!
Is here anybody who play (played) guitar with Open D string? Could you tell me what the **** is it? The 6th string is played open allways? Or sometimes?..

I played around with DADGAD for awhile and a lot of tunes sound really good with a droning low D. You just whack it with the thumb every so often. There's also a "dropped D" tuning that works about the same way.....and a "double dropped D", I suppose you could fretting the D in the middle for your drone but it seems like a tremendous hassle.
Hi! Thanks for your answers to my and my friend.
Jim, what is Broadband?
There is not differents in internet in Moscow and all other Citys. As regards the flute, i believe, that i'll buy Sweetheart's 4-keyed.
And snow... There's no much snow yet But i think, that the matter will change in one or two weeks) Then we'll go to the bear hunt)
one more question.

Re: one more question.
The first DADGAD tune I learnt was Drowsy Maggie, that's quite easy, give it a go.

Re: one more question.
MY God - a bear hunt??? Thought they were an endangered species.

Does this mean that we will now have to get someone to write 'The Bearhunters Reel/Jig/Polka'?
