Castignari Dinn 2 vs. Cairdin Mini Deluxe Opinion Poll

Castignari Dinn 2 vs. Cairdin Mini Deluxe Opinion Poll

A rapidly improving novice, I want to sell my Castignari Tommy bc and get either a Dinn 2 or Mini Deluxe. I can't decide which one to get. I'm interested in any comments. Thanks!

Your Tommy should have more punch than either of the others because it has three reeds per note, unless you find a three reed Mini. It's more versatile because it has a stop to change from three to two reeds on the treble side. Neither of the others will have better action. If you have become adept at using the stepped keyboard, why not personalize it by adding a stop to the basses to remove the thirds? Castagnaris are beautiful boxes.

Castignari all the way because of that beautiful tone!

I have a Castagnari Tommy, a Lilly and a Cairdin Mini de Luxe. I've also had a Dinn II. I always go back to the Tommy - I like the tone and the action better than the other boxes, and the stepped keyboard is no problem.

Phew! finally someone has spelled Castagnari properly. Yep. Castagnari are the bizz. Why settle for 2nd best?
