I don't know how many of you read this but I just wanted to say: thanks for an awesome session! Thanks especially to Slainte for helping me find my way through Tokyo at 5am, drunk, and for waking me up when it was my stop I can't believe that pub is going to close. The bar owner sat there listening intently to our playing the whole night, gave us some free beers and free food, and was generally very very nice. Us lot in Sydney would give anything to have bar staff like that in the city. See you all again soon, love Dow.
BTW Slainte pls e-mail me a list of the tunes I got off you. I can only think of those versions of down the broom but there were more. Am too p*ssed to remember. Ta.
I've just had a nap. I can't believe we just talked on the phone just 24 hours ago and met up one hour later.
All the thanks to Fukae-san and the pub owner. I'm not going there these days and shocked to know it's closing. But better to know it before it happens.
Does anyone from the "Tokyo crowd" ever get down to Kyushu? I've been trying to meet people to play with in Nagasaki-area since I arrived in July. Had a few dead ends early-on, but finally making some good connections. In fact, on my way to someone's house this evening. Always eager to meet more, tho'...
OK OK, my mobile is working. Mark, I was a bit upset that you didnt call. Then, I found out my little girl had been playing with my phone so nothing was coming in. She is locked in her room for the next 30 years. Haha!
Sounds like you all had fun though. So, Morrigans is closing??
Wow, thats hard to believe. Its a nice little pub.
Mark, hit me up when you get back in Tokyo.
Hi Dow and Slainte.
It was fun to have tunes with you guys!!
Dow, I hope you enjoyed the trip in Japan.
I have hosted the session for many Australian guys this year, but all of them are nice.
I hope I can visit Sydney or Melbourne one day!!
See you!
