Culan

Culan

Anyone know what's happened to it? I used to be able to hear it via the BBC web site.

Re: Culan

I'd wondered that too, john. I seems to appear and disappear at irregular intervals. Maybe we should e-mail them and ask. Will you do it or will I ?

Re: Culan

Good idea, Kenny - I didn't even think of doing that! I'll do it if you like.

Re: Culan

Please do, john - and let us know what they say. I've only been listening to it for a few months now, but it's the best radio programme of Irish traditional music I've come across.

Re: Culan

You could try Seamus Duffy's show

8.30 on Sundays

http://www.midwestirishradio.com/

He's a lovely man - taught me singing in the summer and very, very much a traditionalist

Re: Culan

Thanks for the link, Julie.

I've now got an answer from bbcni.feedback@bbc.co.uk : 'Culan is on the Radio Player (www.bbc.co.uk/ni) where you should be able to listen to it.'. So I looked, and it's there now. This is slightly disingenuous of them, cos it wan't there when I asked them the question.

Re: Culan

Well now the link's gone again. When it was up, it unfortunately pointed to 'Blas' rather than 'Culan'. I pointed it out, and they admitted they're beset with bugs in the configuration of the radio player.

Anyone know whether the program still goes out in NI over the good old steam radio?
