I haven't missed one yet. Any sessionistas attending, stop on by the dance tent and say hello. The Doon Ceili Band are playing there on Sat and Sun, with a concert set on Friday on the Snug stage. We are also playing the Minnesota Irish Fair this weekend!
Me, I am looking forward to hearing Billy McComiskey and Liz Carroll, although on different stages. I am also interested to hear Bruce Molsky. And I hope Kevin Henry and a good few others make it up for sessions again this year.
Jode: Playing with Billy is Brenden Mulvihill. If you don't already know him, spend some time with him. Awesome fiddler and an amazing person. If you already know than I don't have to tell ya!
Right you are JP, I just have a soft spot for the old Trian sound. Ah the session possibilities! My brother and sister-in-law will be in town too, and the Danus are always good fun.
I see a new incarnation of Green Fields of America is going to be there. I saw Mick Moloney's GFA about 15 years ago during their NEA tour - Seamus Egan, Eileen Ivers, etc. - great performance! Is this the same group, a different lineup, or a completely new band (well the old one wasn't officially a band I guess))?
I don't believe Seamus Connelly is going to be there. Anyone know the lineup in Green Fields? I am sure Liz will be involved, but anyone got the skinny on the others?
