A musician friend from Bilbao is going to spend August in Brighton, England and would like to know if there are any sessions there. Can you help with this one, Jeremy ?
Sure. There's a session every Monday night in a pub called The Pond.
The pub is between the North Laine and Queen's Road (the road to the train station). It's fairly easy to find. It also has a rather excellent Thai restaurant upstairs. Thai food and tunes makes for an excellent combination.
I have to fess up and admit that I haven't actually *played* in this session yet, just listened in. I keep meaning to pluck up the courage and bring an instrument along. Although when I was listening in, I have to say I didn't recognise a lot of the tunes.

My friend, Aitor, plays the flute, whistle and low whistle. His wife is English and her mother lives in Brighton, hence the visit.
