Will anyone be going to the Dublin Irish Fest? I know I will be. I'll mostly be around the session tent
and attending a few concerts. I'm the "little" piper who will be trying to keep up on the pipes. I do know a few tunes though.
I am hoping to attend. I hope to hear a lot traditional players, am not very interested in hearing songs, but would enjoy seeing some dancing. bI've never been to this festival before and am pleased to learn that there will be a session tent. I play guitar and mandolin, and hopefully by then can play a few tunes on the whistle.
Could anyone comment on this festival, i.e., quality of the sessions, sessions that include performers, layout of the venue, camping availability. I'm impressed by the low cost.
There will be a lot of traditional players there. There is ceili dancing I'm not sure about step.
Sessions are great(my favorite part). I'm not sure about camping. There are hotels very
close(some you can walk from). Their website is www.dublinirishfestival.org go there if you have any questions.
I was trying to find out about the sessions at the festival and got this info I thought I'd pass it along:
