I'm still looking for DeDanan's first album... only for years now... ideally the cd re-release from the early 90's, or the album (both long out of print). Any going spare out there? (Not as in going mad)... Cheers....
I take it you're speaking of: "De Danann", Polydor, 1976 also released on Decca 5287, 1977?
Perhaps your best bet is contacting the "Green Fiddle Agency", by Email on gfa@greenfiddleagency.com or call them on:
651-291-2678, if you are in the United States and asking them about it's availability, and perhaps suggesting that you believe there is an interest in it if it's unavailable (discontinued)...
I have the cassette tape, too. It apparently was re-released on CD.I did a search and found it for sale on a website for $50, or the LP record for $35.
i mentioned some time ago that i spoke to charlie piggot in claire and he thinks that the master tapes of the first album may be lost. I am presuming that its the first album as the selected jigs and reels had tracks taken from it to appear on the best of.Its hard to find a good copy of the first album but they do turn up from time to time. I usually convert it fro analog to digital and clean it up using roxio software, some of the scratches and pos can still be heard but i suppose some people dont mind that,
