We had a small discussion about them under the heading "box players" submitted 22nd May, could check that out also they have a website, www.northcregg.com
They are a Cork-based band. Released an album called Mi.da:za, which is Cork for "Right on" or "the dog's bollocks" as they say in Liverpool. Not surprisingly, polkas get a good airing on the album as well as jigs and reels. Instruments: accordion, fiddle, piano, banjo, mandolin, bouzouki, snare drum, guitar + vocals. A good album. Probably very worthwhile to go and see them.
You have to see them they are the best, band doing the local Irish rounds here at the moment. If you like the Sliabh Lucra style you have to hear them. Everywhere they perform here in Munster is jammed to the door.
