In an effort to promote Irish music and culture in the Oklahoma City area there is a new group (in co-operation with the Irish Arts Project of Central Oklahoma and McTeggart school of Irish Dance) that will be meeting the 3rd Friday of each month. The June gathering will be in Norman.

The goal is to have something for beginning and advanced musicians, dancers, singers, and those who just enjoy being around Celtic music.
We had our 2nd gathering here in Oklahoma, Norman to be exact. It was another great turn out. Lot's of great music, 4 step dancers, Singing, munchies and drink. Looking forward to next months.
I've come to the conclusion that if your neck of the woulds is Sessionaly challanged, start one! If there's not a pub that'll have you try yours or someones home, a park, place of business, somewhere.
