Maybe Dubliners have it so great with sessions they don't need to rely as much on this website as others who need this link to have a strong trad community feel. Also some people feel that once you have a healthy session you like to keep it for the regulars.
However, I am a new Dubliner and I think that we should start posting more Dublin sessions. If you know a session in Dublin, could you please submit it. Right now 5 are listed. That is not even close to the actual number. Its important for people like me to know what days of the week they play and also when the more relaxed sessions are so I can join in. Also I would love to visit other sessions just to listen and get to know Dublin better.
If you want your session to stay quiet and a little local secret, thats fine, but if you think other people would really enjoy the music at your pub, post the session and a few details.

The Seamus Ennis centre in the Naul is a lovely place to visit and there is a session there every Sunday (almost)
ive been to the session in monkstown, the tuesdat night session seemed a bit slower paced. then on wednesday there was a more upbeat session(the players were much better, etc).

I don't know how to add a session but ....
you can go to Hughes in Chancery Street or Comhaltas in Monkstown any night of the week.
There is a slow session in Monkstown on Tuesday night which is very welcoming and you can test out whether you need L plates or not!

To add a session, go to "sessions" and click on "submit a session". Then follow the instructions on screen. It really isn't that hard.
