For anyone who might be interested, I have several of Jean-Michel's CDs available for sale (primarily because they have such a limited distribution in the US & Canada), including E Koad Nizan, and BEO, with more to come. Please write to me privately for price and shipping details
hey (again) dick,
i thought there might have been more 'official' ways to get jean-michel's cd sold in the US, no?
any reason why the distribution is so limited arround there?
the demand's there, so?
anyway, great you're doing this for him.

The Dusty Strings Acoustic Music Shop http://www.dustystrings.com/shop/index.shtml
has been specializing in music of Brittany for years, and should regularly have stock of all the JMV CDs.
BEO is produced by the small Breton outfit An Naer that has no distribution in US/Canada that I know of, and just try getting a copy of Pennou Skoulm (1989, remixed 1994), with Jean-Michel, Christian Lemaitre, Jacky & Patrick Molard, and Soig Siberil, on Escalibur (a label of Diffusion Breizh, which later became coop breizh, the producer of E Koad Nizan, Pont Gwenn Ha Pont Stang, and the most recent, Er Pasker).
Qualiton Imports was the official US distributor for coop breizh at one time (and is so listed on Brad Hurley's website), but a search today of the Qualiton website for "Jean-Michel Veillon" yielded no results.
Brad also lists Sidestreet Music ( a division of Elderly Instruments) as a purveyor of J-M's CDs--and indeed, I arranged for them to carry several of his recordings a number of years ago--but he is no longer listed on their website, either.
In short, the US distribution of Jean-Michel's CDs is virtually non-existent, which is why I always keep a few on hand for anyone who's interested. It's simply incredible that the artist whom both Matt Molloy and Kevin Crawford have described as their favorite flute player can't get decent distribution of his CDs in the US.

Re: Jean-Michel Veillon CDs available
Interestingly Enough, there is a huge demand for these, and other CD's around most of the upstate New York region.
You might consider advertising!
