Thanks Feile An Earraigh!

Thanks Feile An Earraigh!

After an afternoon and night of great music at the Feile An Earraigh festival, I would just like to say thanks!
Thank you for the music, what craic! And it was nice to see and play with people I havent seen in a while. James Byrne the fiddler from donegal was on top form and a pleasure to listen to, with Jim Rainey on guitar, and let me tell you, the session players, all of whom were of the highest quality, did themselves proud. Great stuff !

This is what it`s all about.

Great fun despite a pretty noisy crowd-but hey ,it is Belfast after all.
Hope the drive to Donegal wasnt too punishing for you Laura.

Re: Thanks Feile An Earraigh!

I was meant to drive back that night, but sure I didnt get back home to lurgan til after 3am. By the time I managed to get our Barry and Gerdy T out of the car at their houses, It was definatley too late to start the drive! managed it early the next morning though. That's dedication for ya Jim!!

Stefan - I felt like stickin the head in a few, the noise at one point was awful...but we just had to let it go, and get on with the gig! the first few acts got no order at all, but by the time we went on, we got plenty of order. no violence involved!!!

Re: Thanks Feile An Earraigh!

Sounds like it was a great weekend of music. I heard some of it on R na G on Tuesday night. Loud crowd but the music still came through well done Mr Bloop. I`m only sorry i missed it. Had every intention of going down into Belfast and seeing Lara travelled all the way from Donegal it`s a bit lame using the distance from Glenavy as an excuse.
