Session experience and humour (cartoon)

Session experience and humour (cartoon)

Thanks all for the newbie advice. I've attended about four sessions at the Tranzac in Toronto, and am having a wonderful time. I've been posting reports of my experience; here's a sample:

I've been taking notes at each session about the tunes that are being played so that I can start learning them at home. Here's a cartoon I created to summarize the usual type of response:

Debbie, your cartoons are delightful and I love the idea of a blog about sessions from your perspective--keep it up and have fun!!

Thanks, everyone!

Guernsey Pete...not sure why you can't load it. Perhaps the Flickr server was having problems when you checked? Please do try again if you have a chance. If you still have problems, I can repost it for you.

Hey, Heather...what instrument do you play? What do you look like? Please do say hi next time you see me at a session! Here's what I look like:

Re: Session experience and humour (cartoon)

This brought back a few memories!!! I played at the Tranzac when I spent the winter of 76/77 in Toronto!!!!
I remember someone saying it was a very cosmopolitan evening, having a Scotsman who lived in Australia singing Irish songs to a bunch of ex-pat Kiwis in Toronto!!!

True story!!!
