looking for andrea power

Does anyone know how to contact Andrea Power. She is a bodhran maker, player and teacher in Dingle. I have tried to contact her through an e-mail address I had but it seems that it is no longer valid. Thanks

Re: looking for andrea power

Thanks Jim. Unfortunately that is the address I have for her and it keeps getting rejected. I’m looking to purchase a drum from her, so if anyone can contact her, my e-mail is in my member profile. Thanks again.

Re: looking for andrea power

And if you played fiddle would you say...

MORE POWER TO YOUR ELBOW?

and if you had a favourite mode would it be

POWER"S WHIZZ KEY?

Sorry, just got back from Georgetown Festival (TAS not West Indies!) where I had lots of beaut music and very little sleep, brain still strato-cruising!

Re: looking for andrea power

I'll be going there in March and could find out for you then.

Last year she told me she is not a frequent user of the internet (at that time a lot of Dingle residents only used the Internet Cafe in town and there were problems hooking up for a reasonable price, they are still in the middle of nowhere when it comes to the internet) and at the time she was not getting along with her neighbor who does have access .

For those of you not familiar with Andrea, she is a very good drum maker and a great musician. She also make a great tipper in a variety of shapes. She makes them right in front of you when you visit and is constantly looking for better sound. As a result she has a variety of styles and sizes on hand.

Re: looking for andrea power

Thanks everyone for your help and comments. I received an e-mail from a member who found a phone number for her and I will try calling.
I got the Austin Power(s) joke even though I’ve never seen any of the movies. I guess I should watch one as people have been calling me AP since they came out.
I’m new at this discussion thing, so I don’t know all the lingo. What’s a btw and I didn’t get the Power’s Whiz Key.
Many years ago I did play the fiddle, old time, for square dances. Stopped for a variety of reasons, maybe I should pick it up again, it’s sitting in it’s case there in the corner of the room. I also dabble with the Penny Whistle.
A note to Mike, I’ve been to Andrea’s shop, had a lesson from her last March or April, whenever Easter fell last year. Got some of her tippers and now want a drum. Have fun in March.

Re: looking for andrea power

Hi there Austin,

Power's is a very famous brand of Whiskey, hence...

Whizz - key!

Actually I did have the privilege and pleasure of playing many times with Jimmy Power, a wonderful fiddle player who lived in London!

Re: looking for andrea power

If you haven't found her yet, I met Andrea in March in Dingle and purchased a drum from her. She's a great lady. Her telephone is 087 2457689. Her e-mail doesn't seem to be working though. Also, she may also be out of the shop with a new baby by now, or very soon!
