Where Can I Try a Coda Bow?

Where Can I Try a Coda Bow?

I've been hearing good things about Coda bows and want to try some out.... but where? Does anyone know where I can find some near Bristol (UK). I've tried the usual shops but haven't found any that stock them.

Hi

They've been recommended to me too but I have'nt tried one yet. Tim Phillips sells them and I beleive he may send a couple on approval.

web site is http://www.timsviolins.supanet.com/coda.htm

Hope it works

I got mine through Tim - usually acquired when Tim's been out at festivals - Fiddles at Witney, Chippenham and Sidmouth! But he's always been great at letting me try instruments and bows.

Have you tried Cremona House in Bristol? I heard they had some in stock some while back. Also, have you tried Bristol Violin Shop?

Re: Where Can I Try a Coda Bow?

I got a Coda Bow just before Christmas. Took a very daring chance and asked my brother to pick one up for me as there were no dealers in my city. The chace worked out rather nicely, I love it.

Re: Where Can I Try a Coda Bow?

Thanks for your help everyone :-)

I think I'll try Tim Phillips - I emailed Cremona House and the Bristol Violin Shop a couple of months ago and they didn't have any.

I'm thinking of a Conservatory, budget won't stretch to a Classic.
