Does anyone have an opinion on the Oscar Schmidt "A" copy mandolin. I picked one up the other day for $75 US, and think that is is rather a good beginners instrument. It seems to play quite nicely, stays in tune fairly well, and has a pleasant but quiet tone. Not pro quality for sure, but not bad at all. On the down side, it does not seem to carry enough volume for session playing.
Oscar Schmidt Mandolin?

Re: Oscar Schmidt Mandolin?
If it stays in tune up the neck, you got yourself a deal. Low volume for a beginner is probably beneficial.
