Christmas Charity Auction - Metloef Irish Drums

Christmas Charity Auction - Metloef Irish Drums

We've got one for auction for Christmas charity. This drum has the magical property of even making the pipers like it in the session. And its prettier than a banjo.

Have a look, and thanks!

Re: Christmas Charity Auction - Metloef Irish Drums

I just checked it out.
I note with interest that it's good for that modern "double sticking" method of playing. Perhaps BODHRANBOY might be interested in putting in a bid, although I believe he has recently bought a special Drum which is realy DEEP, so deep it has a cut-away in the side to enable access to the skin for all that doo-whop stuff. Still He's an awesome player though but.

Sexy! I particularly like the bullseye idea, nice touch.

Very pretty. I might buy it and try out the Tuesday night session in Sandy Bells. :-)

It,s actually a very nice looking drum, I wouldn't mind trying one out. Anyone play one? what are they like? I have noticed on this drum and on other drums I have seen, that there is black insulating tape near and sometimes round onto the rim. More than just for looks I take it.
