Is there such a program that might do this, its probably a shot in the dark. we have the mp3 but want to work out the guitar part and write it down as TAB.
The audio need to be in MIDI format before you can convert it to tab or anything anything else. How about Amazing Slow Downer to the work out the part?
Hi Mike. How did the gig go in Inverness?
You could have a look at Tabledit. I downloaded a demo as there were tunes available but I haven't investigated it thoroughly. It seems to have a few clever tricks, though.
You can't take an audio file and turn it into some kind of notation, other than doing it by ear. The only thing you can do, is to use one of the programs out there that can slow it down so you can figure it out qucker. If it was a MIDI file, you could, becuase MIDI is digital information, not an audio file, so it can be turned into TAB notation.
it was grand thanks john, and thanks for the amazing slow downer tip thats a good idea (its for a friend not me).
Well i say grand but my sister shut the piano cable in the car door and when we pulled off the plug went under the tyre and snapped the cable in two, so we needed a quick repair job at the hotel before we could start our set, but it was a good crowd!
