First thing I want to say is.......WOW!!!!
David Papazian and Debbie Quigley from Canada flew in to Tokyo last night, straight from the airport to the session and played until closing. It was one of the best sessions I've been to. They got stuck in traffic ( How unusual in Japan ) and showed up 45 minutes late. Well the owner of the pub said to me, start playing. Oh the pressure, one Mandolin one Fiddle and myself on the Concertina. We played untill they showed up. And then the real music began. It was amazing ,that just getting off the plane from flying half way around the world and playing at full speed without missing a note. Wow!
What a great time it was.
I remember having David Papazian , Michel Rondeau and a few other quebecois playing for us in the Downpatrick Folk club, accompanied on the trip by Desi Wilkinson.
A real treat of the first order.
They had us all up dancing and lepping around the room - what a set!
Ok, for all of those that live in Japan or may be visiting in the next few days, Slainte are you there???
This is the scheduale for Dave and Debbie along with Jim Ediger from Canada that has been living in Japan for many years.
11/20 1900-2200hrs the Warrior Celt in Ueno
11/27 2000-2300hrs the Green Sheep in Yokohama
11/28 1900-????hrs the Camelot in Shizuoka
More than likely I'll go to the one in Yokohama on the 27th. if I get back in time from my camping trip in the Okutama area on time.
Now that I've had my second cup of coffee as well as it being brought to my attention by someone whos brain is working better then mine this morning, i need to make a correction/update to the dates and places.

Most recent news:
Mon.29th--Goodbye/Session/Party at the Warrior Celt, Ueno from 7:30 pm-ish.. are we going to go home early, order to catch the flight home next day? ..or miss the last train, which we've just barely managed to avoid nearly every night we've played out..
