Lars,
I had Tom fix up my banjo a while ago..
if there is anything i could do to speed up things, just mail me thru the session....
I managed to have a tinker at some of the banjos he had on his workshop... WOW...
beautiful... I was like a kid in a candyshop.
I just emailed the guy with the clareen for sale: I think I'll go for it if I can get the financial things done in time before it's gone to someone else. I saw the pics he emailed me; wow! And the sound and playability of these banjos are great. Hooray for banjos!
perhaps learn abit more more about the clareen banjo before you buy! They do have some pretty stupid flaws which for the price should not be included. For example The G string is always a fraction out of tune, only certain string types and bridges work well on them. Ireland has another banjo maker living in Co. Kildare near Dublin his name is David Boyle and he makes great banjos which are played by all the big guns in Irish music including Gerry O'Conner and soon myself. Like the clareen you will pay a lot but worth considering. I you still want a clareen the you really do not have to wait as Tom has always a good supply of instuments knocked up at all times except coming up to college exam times as he teaches in Galway city University.
Regards
John
I'm going to england myself for the clareen, so I won't buy it before I try it out. But I'm totally in love with these banjos, regardless of small flaws.

Thanks.

Re: Clareen waiting list
As I live and work in denmark, It would all have to be arranged beforehand.
I just emailed your friend, Helen. Thanks very much for the "heads-up".
Any other info will be welcomed. Thanks
Lars.

Clareen waiting list again
mr. Cussen has informed me that the current waiting list is rather short. depending on model, banjos are all available within between 1 and 6 weeks.
