For mainly Irish tunes, I agree entirely. if you don't get what you want directly from thesession.org, you're bound to find them by following the links.
What I love about this site is that it's a haven of plainness in a visually overbearing computer experience. There's nothing more annoying than tunes playing at you, popups, gaudy patterns, advertisements etc. I don't think there's anything that makes me want to smash my own computer more than those stupid little animated things like that paperclip on Word, or that cutesy little dog on my "search files" feature. If this site had any of that scheidt, I would go elsewhere.
I love the plainness - the lack of gaudy ads and pop ups means I can browse it at work without drawing attention to what I'm doing!! The only snag is that we don't have soundcards - I suppose an open plan office of people playing music could be hell! I have my personal stereo on to distract from the most brain numbing tasks!!
It's astounding. I remember seeing the original way back when Jeremy first created it, and thinking it was too "fancy" to sustain, bit I was obviously very wrong indeed. The unique colours do tend to attract the attention of coworkers, but I'd hate to see them change now.
I go on here all the time at school when i'm not supposed to and no-one has noticed yet. The whole idea of this site is brilliant and I have taken more tunes off here than anywhere else online
Brill idea Jeremy, keep up the good work
I looked at some other sites, but found them confusing. Like going into town (see bumpkin thread).
We had a thread here a while back where one or two people were advocating coloured text and smiley faces and big bold text and all sorts of things. Thank goodness that didn't happen.
Top of the Bill
Top of the Bill
I have seen loads of tune websites, but I think the session tops them all? Anyone agree?

Hats off to Jeremy.

Only site that even comes close (and not very close at that) is the mudcat cafe.
