Doesn't look like any problems to me. I think you were using a "greater than" or "less than" bracket. Those read as code to the server, and so nothing after that will show up if you don't leave a space, I'm thinking.
Well, anything bracketed by a less than sign on the left and a greater than sign on the right goes away into nullspace along with odd socks and all of those paperclips you could have sworn were in your desk drawer. I know this from sad experience. :p

I know I'm right, Rog, I had several peripheral comments vanish before I noticed and realized what was going on. :p
I do think we've gone down the rabbit hole, but that's true of this entire site. (Which is an expression of appreciation. Alternative reality is a good thing for those of us who are trapped behind a desk all day long. We'd go bonkers without it.)

seems a bit strange that you can't include a greater-than sign. you might be able to do it as > or < (testing...)
