Short neck Mandola players around?

Short neck Mandola players around?

I would like to hear from others Mandola players, in Ireland. Just to share a couple of ideas. Good Luck! Gaet.

Re: Short neck Mandola players around?

Hey Gaetano! Good to "see" you. How's it going? There are a few mandola players on here, not all in Ireland but that makes no difference. I'm sure they'll help you out with sugestions, ideas and so on.

Tell the boys I said hello!

At long last my planxty DVD arrived today and I've just been down the pub for a two hour lunch to watch it and its brilliant.

Not quite off thread, as there is some great mandola playing going on with Andy. I reckon its worth having a look at I'm sure you'll get some ideas from it.

I've got a short neck, but I don't play the Mandolin.

All Right, Conan! Good to hear from you. Things are getting better every day. Thanks for the help. And thanks also to Darnoc for the idea of the Planxty video. I'll watch it as soon as possible, when I buy it. Thanks also to Pied Piper (Good Joke, Man!). Gaet.

Re: Short neck Mandola players around?

I play short-neck mandola but it's a 10-string and I'm definitely not in Ireland.

Re: Short neck Mandola players around?

Hi Dow! Where do you live? Ten strings Short/Neck Mandola? Great! What tuning do you use for it? Mine is eight string, and I use FCGD capoed at the second fret. I use mandolin string, of course! Bye! Gaet.
