Can someone recommend a good light/nimble bow?

Can someone recommend a good light/nimble bow?

I'm using my brother's right now, well.. "using" it right now e_e; And yeah, I noticed it was VERY light, compared to my bow I currently use, and I love his bow @_@; I think it may be a student bow actually, mine is wood, I don't know what his is.. The other kind of bow is umm.. A carbon something? Well anyone, can someone name me a good brand as well? Thanks! =D

You're best bet (imho) would be to go to a shop and try the bows they have there, as there can be so much difference between bows, that it's very important to try the bow before buying.

I use Coda bows - carbon fibre, very light and come in a variety of colours. (Piccies on Tim Phillips web site)

I’ve been test driving the Spiccato Bow. I seems a bit heavier than my Coda Classic but the really fast bits and bowed triplets come a little easer with this bow which can make all the difference some days.

My friend Greg is a bowmaker in Ottawa. he recently made a bow for Martin Hayes. My dad has played his bows and he can customize and weigh them wonderfully.

this was discussed in another session thread:
