Can anyone supply me with the title of the second tune in this YouTube clip? (The first tune is Con Cassidy's)

Re: Title of jig needed, please

Q. And is there a third tune in the set - if so, what's that one called?

Possibly English, maybe Geordie.

Re: Title of jig needed, please

Thanks for the abc, Weejie.

As you rightly say, it's difficult to pick out the tune from the noise. At one point I thought I was hearing Gary Owen, and at another point, Cock o' the North ...

"Cock o' the North" did come to mind at one point.

Re: Title of jig needed, please

I've just received an email direct from the musician playing in the YouTube clip. It seems that there were actually four tunes in his set, as follows:

1) Con Cassidy's
2) Andy de Jarlis's
3) Les Patins de Pauline
4) Oscar Wood's

Re: Title of jig needed, please

Wow! It was so noisy they slipped in an extra jig!

It was Oscar Woods I was trying to transcribe.

Here it is c/o Steve Mansfield:

T:Oscar Woods
M:6/8
L:1/8
C:Oscar Woods
R:Jig

Certainly not Geordie, but English.

Re: Title of jig needed, please

Thanks, Weejie

"Wow! It was so noisy they slipped in an extra jig!"

I too thought that I heard thee jigs - not four ...

Yes: Oscar Woods - a well-known box player from Sussex, England.

Strange thing is, I actually know that tune (Oscar Woods) - I just couldn't here it through the noise. It's normally played at a much slower tempo (e.g. at a barn dance) - but of course, it needs to be taken at that pace for rapper sword.
