Pittburgh - coming to visit

Pittburgh - coming to visit

Hello Pittsburghers! I'll be in my home town from
29 Jan - 8 Feb. I already know the session scene is dead
there. The two listed in Session' section stopped a long time
ago or else they're all bodhrans and spoons.

If anybody wants to meet up with me to play tunes,
let me know. We can work out a venue - my mother's house in
Wilkinsburg isn't that great, but could be a last resort I guess.

Re: Pittburgh - coming to visit

Have your Philly steak in Philly. In Pittsburgh, it might be a chunk of bronco. Can't think of what might be on the menu in Denver long about now. Next year guys. Sorry to read of the demise of the session at Murphy's. Perhaps a regular could favor the uninitiated with an essay about that place?

Re: Pittburgh - coming to visit

Somebody posted a link to a video from a session on the South Side here quite recently. Seemed pretty lively. Not too many bodhrans and spoons from what I saw.

Murphy's: yes, a shame because I could walk over in 15 minutes

Slippery Rock - if I can get a car, thanks justwhistle!
