I will be visiting Florence Italy in March and am wondering if there are any Celtic musicians there that might want to meet and play. I have searched for sessions but did not find one?
well, i am from croatia but fortunattely know about florence irish scene. yes, there are certain group of musician who play irish music. they play in one pub in florence (the fiddlers ellbow) around 1-2 times per month.players also come from bologna, grossetto and even roma !

I haven't been to the Florence session, though it seems to be about the only thing in the area. But if you are passing up the Magra valley (Pontremoli way) you could contact me - I know just a couple of other people.
