Happy New Year to all on the session.org.
Here's a link to a short TV clip of a new trio called "The Teetotalers" featuring Myself, Martin Hayes and John Doyle. We'll be doing a number of concerts around Ireland as part of the Music Network tour from January 17th. More details can be got from www.musicnetwork.ie
Really looking forward to hitting the road with these guys so hopefully catch you somewhere.
I learned ‘Felix the Cat’ (The Greenfields of Woodford) years ago, but never heard a recording of it until I Christmas-gifted myself a bunch of music including Warming Up by Seamus Connolly, Martin Mulhaire and Jack Coen (for just $3 each thanks to a post on this board by ceolachan.) I was listening to it just last night, over and over – it’s lovely. The Sean Ryan jigs were some tunes that a session mate has been after me to learn, from the Kevin Burke In Concert recording (with Martin Hayes on that track), and then another friend emailed me yesterday pointing out that those 2 jigs are on the An Historic Recording of Irish Traditional Music with Martin’s father PJ Hayes, and I listened to THAT over and over on the way in to work this morning. Then I log on here (while I should be working, ok) and hear this brilliant music from The Teetotallers. Twice is a coincidence, three times is a conspiracy…
Any chance you’ll be making it over this side of the pond, Kevin?

Thanks, Kevin, that's good stuff...
But what's with an interview in English in the middle of a Geantrai? Don't think I've seen that before!
