This flash mob was as much fun as ever in spite of the Fall chill!

Jocelyn Bérubé is a Québecois storyteller who presents Rose Latulippe, a well known Québec legend and traditional morality tale.
Rose is a beautiful, flirty, young village girl who dances at a Mardi Gras veillée, (a festive, community ‘cheidli’) At midnight, she is suddenly drawn to a handsome stranger who has joined the party uninvited. He is the devil in disguise and he gives her a passionate kiss. She narrowly escapes his clutches when the local priest intervenes …

Re: CommandoTrad #9

Thanks for excerpting the story for us, JNW. I don't understand the language. Our 'Set Americain' group plays most of the tunes included in this mission, and I know many of the musicians and dancers who participated in the event; but 'le conte' had eluded me.

Re: CommandoTrad #9

Looks like a lot of sessions I've been to, as soon as the music starts somebody takes off shouting and bawling.

Re: CommandoTrad #9

Reminds me of the street outside the Favourite Pub at closing time on a Sunday morning in the late sixties. Before someone called the police of course!!!!!

What fun.

It looks like a grand time was had by all, musicians, storyteller, and audience.

Mes compliments.
(hope I got that right)
