Can anyone direct me to a complete and reliable list of CCE All-Ireland flute champions?
I thought I met one awhile ago, at least that was the claim, but I cannot find the musician anywhere listed as CCE All-Ireland.
(I am no scholar of the competitions, I assume I am missing something. I find it difficult to believe the person in question is mis-representing their self that way. )
Maybe this person won an All-Ireland in another category such as a being the flute player in a Duet, Trio, or perhaps a Ceilidh Band, and it would be perfectly legitimate to make the claim of All-Ireland honors.
What year - depends where you look up the results? There are 4 age categories for most of the competitions (such as under 12-, 12-15, 15-18 (not sure if there is really an overlap here), Senior, and 3 "winners" (1st, 2nd & 3rd) for each.
All-Ireland?

Re: All-Ireland?
That's only a list of senior champions. It's quite possible your person won one of the junior categories.

Re: All-Ireland?
Thank you, all of you.

The flutist said the category was Slow Airs.
Still looking...
Thanks again.

Re: All-Ireland?
Would it not be easiest to contact Comhaltas in Dublin and ask them ?
