Alternative name for The Pirates Jig....

Alternative name for The Pirates Jig....

Evening peeps.... Our fiddle player wants the dots for this but we can't find them under this name. Does anyone know if this tune, known as The Pirates Jig, goes by another name (s)

Many thanks,

Rory

If you ignore the weird sh*te happening behind the tune, it's a nice tune and nice banjo playing. I've never heard it before, however, and don't have a name. Your fiddle player could always learn it by ear from that recording.

Re: Alternative name for The Pirates Jig....

It seems to be composed by a "Phil Anderson" and on the "Global Journey" label (New Agey):

"Global Journey Music and Audio CD's offer the very best selling and most comprehensive selection of original CD's in the UK, US and Europe. Our high quality music is composed and performed by leading professional musicians and artists. Our products start with a marketing concept and/or a current theme/trend. For example our collection of Wellbeing CD's started life with experts on each subject from Yoga to Meditation developing twelve page guide booklets as CD sleeves and then working with the artists/musicians to interpret the concept in music"

With that kind of 'pedigree' I doubt if you'll find the dots.

I strongly suspect that the "nice banjo playing" is a sequencer.
