Kikolo, the first item on the link that you sent refers to the Brian Finnegan Big Band who are playing at a festival in Galdames (Vizcaya) this weekend.
If Flook broke up in 2008, maybe the band has reformed as the BFBB.
That last clip had me thinking, if Finnegan and his band-mates past or present did an album of Inca / Andean music, it would probably be superb.
Decades ago I heard one or two great albums of this kind of music, but in recent years my bids to find nice, tuneful recordings of it have been unsuccessful: I've only come across mindless commercialised rackets with lots of whooping and bollox. I know the tunes are there...!
-re the 9th July Spanish video, 3 days earlier the full 8-piece Brian Finnegan Band (including all of KAN) played in Bath. Btter than KAN, in my opinion.
Then they played again in Bath in August, but a different line-up. John Joe had to call off at the last minute. I preferred this sound, but they were under-rehearsed and it was slightly untidy in places.
Brian Finnegan - Flutes, Whistles
Ed Boyd - Guitar
Leon Hunt - Banjo
Rex Preston - Mandolin
Miranda Sykes - Double Bass
Josh Clark - Bodhran
Melvin Hill - Steel Drum
Martin Craddock - Percussion, Lead Guitar
Sue Hurr - Vocals, Percussion
Flook comes again?
Flook comes again?
May be I am the last one in heard about this; Some days ago I saw this in the web of Brian's agent in Spain: "Flook Comes again"
http://www.actosproducciones.com/novedades.php
(in spanish)
I've send a email to the webmaster for ask if this is true, or is a rumor. He confirmed me it.
Any one have any other news of that?
Thanks a lot
