I love all the old Ennis clips, especially the 1980 television clip of Seamus playing The Morning Thrush. It is beautiful, sad, and joyous all at once, like most of Seamus's best piping.
As has been said so many to pick. Here are a couple of relatively recent clips of Jarlath Henderson from the first Gordon Duncan Memorial Concert. I was there and they were highlights of the gig for me.
At first when looking at the title of the thread I thought "pipe clips" was referring to some kind of hardware or apparatus for pipers. You can tell I'm not a piper.
O'Connell's about the best I've heard in the wake of P Keenan. Still haven't heard anyone really emulate Johnny Doran. John Rooney is the spitting image of Felix Doran, sonicwise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-b_ki_2okM Figures since he's Felix's...grandson? Something like that.
i wonder what mood he was in - really all around the clock and inside and out.
Brilliant command of the pipes, always, but sheesh -
"don't try this at home."

Absolutely Kevin, well said. Lovely stuff folk , Keep them coming.
@ Jimmy, your right , I do use the expression clip to mean a single grace note. It did cross my mind when I posted the thread, and of course we've seen lots of clips in all the clips.
My son chided me for a post that didn't include his two favorites:
1) Cillian
2) not sure how to explain... excitement that builds? Whatever it is, it whips the wee lad into a frenzy every time.

Then at 2:40, with the change, they hit a reel both pipers (and their chanters) seemed to agree upon, or perhaps had played the same version regularly. It got much tighter and harmonious IMHO.

Not as good as Davy Spillane's version IMO (which I can't find anywhere on the web}, but still excellent.

Hey, you didn't specify what kind of pipes...
Seán McKiernan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn0u_wkdX8A
Denis Brooks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzRdla8bnVY
I was greatly impressed by Joey Abarta at the Seattle tionol in 2010, I see he has a YT channel now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6zxsglac0s&feature=relmfu Kinda crappy mic but very nice playing. Snappy dresser, too.

Wonderful piping by Cillian and Tiarnan.
I always seem to hear, with double uilleanns, this conflict between the pipers on the ornamentations, and rolls and crans and graces and essential pipe-ish muckity muck.
The first reel they seemed to go kind of, "La de da de da CONFUSION la de da de da TURBULENCE la de da de da CONTROVERSY, la de da de da CONFLICT etc. etc. as the pipes fought over the rolls over pitch and accent in each stanza.

Was it just me, and my prejudiced ear?
