The fourth series of the Irish Guitar Podcast has now been finished and the tunes are being uploaded, 1 per week, over the next few months. The first tune is the reel, "Baltimore Salute". There is a commercial element on the site but the podcasts are free to listen to at anytime, no login, no registration. My renditions of each tune occur at the end of each podcast. There's also John G.Walsh's fine version of the tune on this pod(No. 55). You can hear them, and earlier episodes at:
www.irishguitarpod.com
I hasten to add that John's version comes from his CD "The Magpie's Nest" and is used with his permission. Also there's a selection of video clips from the 2009 concert at The Boite in Melbourne of Antóin MacGabhann(fiddle), and Mick O'Connor(banjo/jokes), and me(guitar/bouzouki). These are also a free download.
Actually I stole the idea from Irishman Ken Carroll at ChinesPod.com in Shanghai, and I made my son Brian do all the revamping of the website, so very little credit to me. Also my guitar-playing is indifferent (no fault of Tony's!).

Well done Tony, you've done a great job on that website.

Ditto. Now I know where to steer my guitar-playing 'friends'.

Re: Irish guitar podacst
Gerry Gaffney must take a lot of the credit, he does all the technical things, and originally it was his idea to do this.
