The Road West?

Re: Mairtin O'Connor tune

It is indeed The Road West - in fact the whole piece is. It isn't a set of tunes.

The nicest version is probably the one done by Mairtin with Cathal Hayden and Seamie O'Dowd. Just wonderful:

Re: Mairtin O'Connor tune

Not sure why you asked for the name of the tune though when you requested the dots for it the day before...

Re: Mairtin O'Connor tune

excuse me "no cause for alarm", ive made no previous requests regarding this tune. Get your facts right before you start trying to be smart

Re: Mairtin O'Connor tune

I'm not trying to be smart. I was trying to be helpful - answering your query and all. There is no need to get all snappy. I apologise for any offence caused. For some reason I misread that this thread was posted today and that the request for "Road West" was made yesterday.

Either way the tune name is "The Road West" and it would be better if your request was worded as such then, if someone posts it, you will receive an email to say it has been posted.

I requested this tune ages ago and it is still to be posted. Having said that I am not sure why I did. It would never fit on a whistle and even if someone did post it I would never actually get round to learning it.
