I had the same problem. I'm in California. I ended up switching browsers from Safari to Firefox. Then, emptied the cache, enabled third party cookies and tried again. Look at me, sounding all computer proficient. I friend walked me though it. lol Anyway, it worked.
Now working for me in Firefox. Rather than just clearing the cache I think it needed a reboot.
Not sure that the revamp is an improvement. I'm now forced to watch a washing powder commercial before a programme but I suppose that is what finances the servers.

No working fine. The site has changed though, music items now appear in the frame below the menu.

Having tinkered with it further I can now select the programmes from the archive, but nothing plays other than a 30 sec advert.

Looks like something has changed on the site and is affecting those outside the 26 counties.
