Hank's Acoustic Guitar Shop - http://www.hanksguitarshop.com/ - on Denmark Street (just down Charing Cross Road from Centrepoint) is a good bet. There are various other music shops in the area or just down Charing Cross Road.
I'd ring Peter Cook's beforehand if you intend visiting, bearing in mind that Hanwell (where Peter Cook's is based) is some miles west of London's centre and the fastest route is the half-hourly Paddington-Heathrow rail service which only takes ten minutes or so, but costs an extortionate £4 each way! (Mind you, you could buy a one-day zone 1-4 Travelcard which costs £7.30 and would cover all your hopping.) I write as an ex-resident of Station Road, Hanwell.
They'll be tunes in London, although not nearly as awesome as Babbity's (er......)
When I was knocking around there on a semi-regular basis, there were Saturday afternoon sessions in the Porterhouse in Covent Garden. I hazily remember Friday night sessions in Camden Town -- was it the Golden Lion? I'm sure someone round here has more up to date knowledge than me. Yhaalhouse? Danny? Bueller? Anyone?
If you're going to Hobgoblin, look in on Ivor Mairants as well - they're on the same street (Rathbone Place), on the opposite side, at the Oxford St. end. They'd probably have a bigger range of guitars than Hobgoblin.
Denmark St. is a good bet, as there are a few guitar shops in close proximity. As MacC says, there are a few other shops on Charing Cross Rd., near the corner with Denmark St. There's also Macari's, a bit further down Charing X Rd., near Leicester Square station - they have a whole basement full of guitars, as I remember.
MacCruiskeen - I'm an ex-resident of Ealing, but used to visit various friends in Hanwell and hang out their in my youth, so I know Station Rd. well. A bit more recently (~2002-2007), I used to go to sessions in a few places in Hanwell and W. Ealing. Would I know you?
There are no sessions on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons as far as I know!
Not around Sarf Lunden anyway.
Saturday evening there is Tir Na Nog at the Wandsworth End of Garratt Lane.
Where in London can I...
Where in London can I...
...try out some Simon & Patrick guitars??
Going to be in town this weekend & want to try out a Woodland Pro I'm wondering if there is any shop that stocks a largish range?
Also maybe looking for a tune on Fri night and/or Saturday afternoon (I play fiddle).

Alternatively, you could try Hobgoblin- http://www.hobgoblin.com/local/shops/index.php - just off Oxford Street.

Re: Where in London can I...
Thanks both. I'll flit round all three shops & see if I can strum one of these fine Canadian axes.
Sadly I'll miss Babbity's Emily. Best tune in ages last week. Wish there were more like that...

Sorry, I can't help with the sessions, but Guernsey Pete probably can - http://www.thesession.org/members/display/6734.
