I have just submitted the final tune in a set of 3 polkas composed by myself. The first in the set is Glen Clova Polka, followed by Brandyburn House and finally Gella Bridge. My hope is they will be played as a set. I am wondering if there is some way members of The Session can be made aware any of the 3 tunes are part of a set when they go to any one of the tunes. I have explained this in the comments for each tune, but how many people go to the comments when they go to a tune. Should I maybe have put all three on the same submission page. Any ideas for future reference.
Happy Polkaing,
Dexy
I ALWAYS check the comments of a tune. I don't think you have to worry bout it overly much, Dexy. Of course, people will either play them as a set or not, depending on themselves. It's not like you can make it a requirement!
Putting information like suggested sets of tunes is exactly what the comments are for.
In another discussion here recently, somebody said that when there are a lot of tunes to look at, they *only* look at the ones with comments. So I think you can rest assured that the comments are being read and appreciated.
I certainly find that even a small comment helps to inject life into what otherwise would be simply a bunch of dots.
