Session in Cornwall

Session in Cornwall

I am staying near Launceston and am looking for an open session to attend whilst here. I have been told there is one somewhere in Bodmin but have no further details. Can anybody tell me more about this or any other session around the area?

I can recommend the Star Inn at St Just, the Tinners Arms at Zennor and the Gurnard's Head, also near Zennor,

Re: Session in Cornwall

Thanks for your replies but I was rather hoping for something a bit closer say within about 20 miles or so. Both of the two places mentioned are over 70 miles away.

Re: Session in Cornwall

Try Bodmin Folk club, they are a very helpful group and will point you in the right direction of any sessions.

Re: Session in Cornwall

I'm afraid I don't know of any *open* sessions apart from the ones I mentioned, though that doesn't mean there aren't any. Bodmin folk club might be a good place to start asking, though there is more of an emphasis on English/singing (or at least there was last time I experienced 'em!). You may have more luck searching Plymouthwards from Lanson, but 'tis alien territory to me.

Re: Session in Cornwall

There is a session at the Skylark Pub in Clearbrook on the second Sunday of the month. I guess about 18 miles if you go via Milton Abbot. If you mail me i will put you on the contact list so you will be mailed if the session is cancelled for any reason
