FS: Rob Forbes flute

FS: Rob Forbes flute

Hi all,
I'm reluctantly selling my Forbes delrin flute; it's in great shape, and it's a real beast. I've recently taken delivery of a six-keyed flute and won't be able to keep two D flutes going. Will be glad to send sound files and/or pics. Price is $350 USD shipped (within USA...will have to check on international shipping rates).

Re: FS: Rob Forbes flute

Just curious regarding what's "beastly" about it : )
I have a Forbes flute coming in a month or two myself so as i said, just wondering what you mean.
Cheers

Re: FS: Rob Forbes flute

Beast? Flute players parlance meaning said instrument can produce a good blast of music.

Often used in sales pitch, regardless of ability to produce said bhlast!

:)

Re: FS: Rob Forbes flute

Ah, ok. Had an old german 6-key crock, that one was a beast to get a clear, in-tune note out of..
Suspected we didn't mean the same by 'beast' though ; )

Re: FS: Rob Forbes flute

You must be running out of flutes by now -- or is that just me being cynical?

Re: FS: Rob Forbes flute

I've heard from more than one person that Forbes flutes
are in fact beasts. There's also a video clip of Kevin Crawford
getting a beastly good sound out of one, although that's hardly a
fair test

Re: FS: Rob Forbes flute

I meant that it's capable of quite a bit of volume and a big, reedy sound.
