I have picked up a nice wee tune which I was told is Maggie in the Woods. I don't yet play Maggie in the Woods, but the tune I have is not like any version of 'Maggie' that I have seen or heard.
I would appreciate any help with the name please. My best effort at ABC will hopefully identify the tune. It is in 4/4 and the key of G. First part:
I B2 E2 E2 FG I B2 A2 F2 A2 I B2 E2 E2 FE I D2 E2 FG A2 I
I B2 E2 E2 FG I B2 A2 F2 A2 I B2 A2 d2 F2 I FE D2 E4 I
The second part starts:
I B2 e2 e2 de I f2 e2 d2 B2 I B2 e2 e2 de I f2 e2 d2 bar 4 ends with a double stop on D/A2. The 5th bar starts with a double stop on E/B2 then e2 e2 de I f2 e2 d2 B2 I B2 A2 d2 F2 I FE D2 E4 I
Sorry about the rubbish ABC notation. I did previously get Lilting Banshee identified this way though, so here's hoping.
For the record.......O'Neills Cavalcade consists of O'Neills March and Tralee Gaol.
O'Neills March was also played by Horslips as Carrigdun which in turn was used in the Irish Football Team World Cup 1990 song...'Put them under pressure' (we're all part of Jackie's army.
Name this tune please

Re: Name this tune please
It is played as part of O'Neill's Cavalcade and also is a version of the Haughs of Cromdale.

Re: Name this tune please
It seems that this part of the tune I call O'Neill's Cavalcade might be called The Green Cockade:

In the comments.
Whatever, it is a version of the Haughs of Cromdale.

Re: Name this tune please
But please try to do a little better next time when posting abc tune queries .... !
Tutorial here:
http://abcnotation.com/learn
It should only take you an hour or so to learn the basics of the notation - which is all you need to post tunes here ...
